Nikau Cave Family Fun Day

We’re excited to invite you to Vertical Adventures’ Family Fun Day on Sunday December 15, at Nikau Cave in the Waikato!

This event is open to everyone—whether you’re a regular climber, a casual participant, or part of one of our groups like Hoppers or ACYDC. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy some time together before the holiday season.

What’s Happening

Nikau Cave is located on a beautiful working farm, offering:

• Bush walks to the local waterfall or along the stream.
• Abseiling opportunities for those who’d like to give it a try. All gear supplied (bring your personal harness if you wish).
• Picnic spots by the stream for a peaceful lunch.
• On-site café with coffee, pizza, and other treats for purchase.
• All activities (except caving) are free of charge.

Caving

For those keen on caving, this experience is available at an additional cost:

• Adults: $65.00
• Children (under 14): $30.00

*Note: Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult (either a family member or another participating adult).

How to Book Caving

If you’d like to go caving, bookings are required in advance. Please text Darrin at (02) 7488 2506, with the following:

• The number of people attending.
• Ages of participants.

*Note: You only need to book if you’re planning to go caving. Caving costs may be reduced if we have a large group—so spread the word!
